This is the first of the Browning hunting games developed by Oquirrh productions. The Browning tradition continues through the exceptional graphics using the actual photographs of some of the most productive marshes in North America. You really have to know your ducks to be able to master this game. For those of us novice duck hunters, thankfully the game has a separate section loaded with educational duck identification screens.

Shooting Gallery Mayhem and a fully working demo of the Elk hunting portion of The Hunting Game are also included within the Browning Duck Hunter. Mayhem is just plain fun, a top-notch and very creative shooting gallery with a soundtrack you'll be humming long after you've finished plunking those wacky creatures. The Elk hunting portion displays the challenges found throughout The Hunting Game, the flagship of the Oquirrh Productions hunting game line-up.

The main game consists of four different hunting grounds that a player must work their way through by successfully reaching different bag limits for several duck species, both drakes and hens. As one progresses through the game, you earn enough money to upgrade from a single-shot shotgun to a Browning Auto Gold Hunter or Browning Citori with the corresponding increase in efficiency. You'll have to learn which calls and decoys to use for the different species and how often to use them. Duck identification, money management and above all else, following the hunting regulations for each zone makes this a fun but very challenging game. For the less patient, a set of "cheat codes" can be found at the bottom of this page.
