Here's the scoop on this version of The Hunting Game (ver. 1.0). There are many new features that make this version more challenging and fun than the original version of The Hunting Game. Wherever you might purchase this game, make sure the box looks like the one above as the additional features are not found in the older versions.

Hunt Mule Deer, Elk and Whitetail Deer from 48 separate sites while using either a rifle, bow or muzzle loader. Shotgun hunt for Wild Turkey or Waterfowl from 18 separate sites. These are actual photographic backdrops (not computer renderings) of some of the best hunting areas in North America. Each site has it's own bag limits, legal hunting times and other restrictions just as in real-life hunting. Don't mess with these restrictions as "Wilma the Warden", will become a regular member of your hunting family.

This a tough game to conquer. As you successfully fill the bag limits of each zone, the game will track your progress by showing the percentage of the game completed. Making it through all of the zones will equate to 97% and an additional 1% is added if you shoot the largest trophy animal of any of the trophy species.(Elk, Whitetail, Mule Deer)

The key to successful hunting lies in outfitting and correctly using the best equipment for the species you're going after. The best clothing/camo, weapons, ammo, scents, calls and other accessories cost additional money. This money needs to be earned (see "cheats" at bottom of page as an alternative) by viewing information found in the Den of the Lodge or by moving up through the levels of the Shooting Gallery. The Shooting Gallery is no cakewalk. Learning which, when and how much of the calls and scents to use will produce the greatest opportunity to bag the trophy animals in this game. Proper selection and use of the calls and decoys will produce the most success in the waterfowl sections.

One last piece of advice: stay in shape for the hunt Use the exercise room in the lodge frequently or you'll eventually keel over out there and have to be rescued. This costs big bucks and should be avoided.
