| Just What Have We Got Going Here? |
| Unlike other traffic exchange sites, this exchange is geared towards driving credible traffic to your site(s), not to pay you for surfing. The premise is simple: Only allow Outdoors Industry websites where the site will be viewed by Outdoors-Oriented people, not folks who's main goal is to surf as many sites as possible to earn a few cents/day. The surf for money folks are not going to want to break up their surfing session by clicking on your site...that's if they are even in front of their computer at all. Outdoors folks viewing goods and services that they are already interested in will be viewing your site. Even the outfitters or resort and lodge owners go to where the fishing or hunting is better or different than their own operations and there are many suppliers to this industry looking for a way to find their targeted market. They'll have many quality operations to view without having to sift through the many "get rich" sites.
So that is our goal...a free service to the Outdoors Community that works from members actually taking a small part of the day to view other's sites so that theirs will be viewed in return. |
| Why Can't We Just Buy Pageviews? |
| It would defeat the purpose of this site if we allowed traffic to be generated without earning it by surfing. Sure, we'd appreciate the extra income but it would be short-sighted on our part if we are looking for a truly targeted audience for the member's websites. Everyone must participate in viewing member's sites for this to work properly. |
| How Many Pages Do I Need To View? |
| There are no minimum requirements but please keep in mind that your site can only build credits to be seen if you are viewing other sites.
When using the AutoSurf feature, 10 pages need to be viewed to have 8 of your pages viewed in return. If you pay attention, as hoped during your viewing, there's the opportunity to get 5 or 15 bonus credits a number of times during a session. This boost or bonus actually allows for more than a return pageview for every page that is viewed by you.
When using ManualSurf, the system starts out on an equal pageview for each page viewed (1:1 ratio). Any bonus opportunities during the session will increase that ratio in your favor.
These pageview credits may be used for Banner Views or Text Link Views at an even better ratio. |
| Why Do I Never See My Site When Surfing? |
| Be assured, if you've got credits assigned to your site, it is being viewed. We have made the decision that it would not be fair for members to have the credits they've worked for being depleted by viewing their own site. |
| Why Don't We Get More Credits For Surfing? |
| If everyone surfs (which is our goal)and is watching their computer so they can take advantage of bonus credits, the amount of pages viewed and the credits earned comes out close to even. Many other traffic exchanges give away so many credits that it takes weeks for you to receive all of the pageviews you've earned. We're set up so that the system works to everyone's benefit. |
